Privacy Policy & End User License Agreement

This tool is operated solely by its owner for personal business bookkeeping purposes. No end-user data is collected, shared, or sold to third parties.

 

Data accessed:

- QuickBooks Online financial data (revenue, expenses, payroll) via the Intuit OAuth 2.0 API, used only to compute tax obligations and generate reports.

- Anthropic Claude API is used to generate narrative summaries. Only aggregated financial figures (totals, dates, tax amounts) are sent — no personally identifiable information, employee names, or raw transaction records are transmitted.

 

Data stored:

- OAuth tokens (QB_ACCESS_TOKEN, QB_REFRESH_TOKEN) are stored locally in a `.env` file on the owner's machine and are never uploaded or logged.

- No data is persisted to any external database or third-party service beyond the API calls described above.

 

Third-party services:

- Intuit QuickBooks Online — governed by Intuit's Privacy Policy.

- Anthropic Claude API — governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

License

This software is licensed, not sold, exclusively to its owner for internal business use. No sublicensing, redistribution, or transfer to any other party is permitted.

 

Permitted Use

The software may only be used by the owner to automate bookkeeping tasks for their own business. It may not be resold, offered as a service, or used on behalf of third-party clients without separate legal review.

 

No Warranty

The software is provided "as is." Tax calculations and summaries generated by this tool are for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal or tax advice. The owner is solely responsible for verifying all figures before filing with any tax authority.

 

Limitation of Liability

The author(s) of this software accept no liability for errors in tax computations, missed filing deadlines, or any penalties resulting from reliance on this tool's output.

 

 API Terms

Use of this software is subject to the Terms of Service of Intuit QuickBooks Online and Anthropic. The owner is responsible for maintaining compliance with those terms.

 

Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA.
